A sādhu (or sādhvī) is a saintly person who may or may not be a practitioner of Yoga.  And an association with such “saintly folk” has long been considered one of the most rewarding life practices.  On that note, I’m excited to host Modern Sadhu: a space to explore, laugh and connect with voices on a similar path - those striving for authenticity and joy in their daily lives.

For me, fall is the most vibrant season.  The colors, the crisp air and the diminishing hours of daylight all signal the time to change (yet again!) and offer an opportunity to turn our focus inward.  We are subject to the rhythms of nature and there is something comforting about returning to routine and a home base after summer’s excursions.  Perhaps you were out on many trips or just one, killer get away before everyone returns back to school - regardless of your summer activities, many of us make fall “resolutions” - time to get back to work, tackle new projects, stick to a work out routine (before the holidays hit!) etc.. etc.. Hence me FINALLY launching this little project!

The Yoga - Vāsishtha notes that Sādhu-sanga (an association with those on the same path as you) “removes the darkn

ess in one’s heart and is the lamp for the right path in the world.”  Modern Sadhu strives to be an outlet for this sanga, bringing to you a meticulously curated collection of voices designed to spark that movement and inspire you to lead your most potent, vibrant life.
